There are many historic and recreational attractions near Wood Creek Lodge. Most notably, we are located on Wood Creek Lake, and just outside Daniel Boone National Forest.

You can go boating right from the lodge. Get hunting or fishing guides or your fishing license here also.

Daniel Boone National Forest - The forest encompasses over 706,000 acres of mostly rugged terrain. The land is characterized by steep forested ridges dissected by narrow ravines and over 3,400 miles of sandstone cliffs.

Wood Creek Lake - Scenic crystal clear waters (3rd cleanest lake in U.S.) makes this 900 acre lake a great fishing spot and ideal for pontoon boating. There are two main forks: Wood Creek and Gillis Branch, and several other medium long sloughs.  Wood Creek is home of the USA record  large mouth bass of 13 lbs. 10oz.

Civil War Battle Site - The site of the first engagement of regular troops in Kentucky during the Civil War. The site is undeveloped and remote. Though the armies have long since disappeared, many of their trenches remain as reminders of what happened on that October day.

Daniel Boone Motocross Park - Probably the most technical track on the GNC circuit, Daniel Boone is more of an outdoor Supercross track than a traditional Motocross track. The track is situated deep in a valley making it one of the most spectator friendly stops on the circuit.

London Motorplex Dragway - London Dragway is a 1/4 mile NHRA dragstrip located near London, Kentucky. It is also referred to as the London Motorplex.

Camping and Hiking - Enjoy nature camping, hiking, or exploring.

Hunting - Hunt all kinds of game including elk, deer, and duck.

Hiking - Lots of trails in nearby Daniel Boone National Forest.

Fishing - Make your record breaking catch here, fishing for Lake trout, bass, catfish, shad, crappies, or northern pile.

Horseback Riding & Bird Watching - Many varieties of eastern american birds, including the rare Pilated Woodpecker; that has been spotted in the area an formerly believed to have been extinct!
